After many years of doing the daily administrative work, I now concentrate on our relationships: with one another in the SSB family, the architects and homeowners we have the good fortune to work with, our subcontractors and with the North Shore communities in which we work. Scott and I are really lucky that we can work together on both the raising of our daughters and raising the business from infancy to adulthood. I’m also very grateful to have a job that allows me the flexibility to be involved in the kid's schools and activities and home at the end of the school day.

My background: I grew up in Wilmette and went to New Trier East, got an advertising degree from Syracuse University and have worked as an advertising account manager, a pastry chef, a retail store manager, wedding cake decorator and mail order director. I’ve worn a lot of hats and each one somehow contributes to the running of a small business!
